About

Let’s design something great

Omar Farooqui

I majored in Information Technology and Informatics with a focus in Human Computer Interaction at Rutgers University. In 2012, while still in college I had the opportunity to intern in the digital media marketing depart of Pfizer Animal Health, it was here I discovered UX. I then went on to be a UX designer at Pershing LLC, where I worked for nearly 2 years. I then moved from in-house to agency side and worked at Razorfish (now Publicis Sapient) for 4 years.

I balanced my day job with personal creative work and focusing on healthy living. My time working with Publicis Sapient has allowed me the opportunity to work and learn from an inspiring team while working with some interesting clients.

My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to find points of tension behind the idea I’ve been assigned or am interested in. I do several iterations on each point and usually end up refining the one I find most controversial.

For me, controversy isn’t about instigation, but rather, a way to arrest your audience. It’s a way to plant a little bit of desire in their hearts; a yearning to turn the page and learn more about your idea. Ultimately, it’s about creating memorable images.
